Backup Exec 11d Rev7170-sp3 and HP DAT160 USB wrong media capacity

Hi,

I'm trying to teach Backup Exec 11d Rev7170-sp3 to recognize the attached HP DAT160 USB Tape Drive correctly. (The Drive itself has the newest Firmware flashed, WU86.)

What ever I do, the displayed max mediasize from within BE 11d is DAT72, even thou the windows system manager reports the max media capacity as 85379973120

I've already installed all kind of hotfixes, 37,47,48,51,52 without an success

The Drive is mentioned as compatible with BE11d

3. The Hewlett Packard HPDAT.SYS driver v1.5.3.2 (or higher) is required for use with Backup Exec for Windows Servers. Please contact HP to acquire this driver.
4. Initial driver support can be found in "DDI 11d (11.0) 20071215 7170". Use latest DDI available <http://entsupport.symantec.com/umi/V-269-10 >.

The actual hpdat.sys on my server is 1.6.0.0 which is newer then the mentioned version

afaik the DDI should not be needed, since the Drive is attached to the USB port, but the newest version is also installed.

I've noticed that the installed tpfilter.sys is 0.0.2088 but I've found several references on the internet to 0.0.3290, is the newer version from BE12, or can I install this tpfilter.sys version?

And if I can, from where can I get the needed files?

Somehow I'm running out of options, can someone please help me with this issue?

Thank you and with kind regards

Thomas Philipp
