Backup Exec 12.5 Service Pack 4 Will Not Install

Hi,

We are trying to install SP4 for Backup Exec 12.5 on an SBS 2003 server (32-bit).

The error we are encountering is;

We have made sure there are admin privelidges and also re-installing as a seperate hotfix, along with stopping all services and making sure the app is closed, along with re-installing Microsoft XML Parser (MSXML) 3.0 Service Pack 7 (SP7).

Does anyone have any ideas please?

As per the log the error is "Error applying transforms.  Verify that the specified transform paths are valid"

EDIT : There is another error in the log

Fixing the first error corrected the second, the Transforms path for BE was;

¦C:\WINDOWS\Installer\{B52AF7AF-C5B3-47FC-8116-AD2208FC8904}\1033.MST

so we changed deleted the first character so it read;

C:\WINDOWS\Installer\{B52AF7AF-C5B3-47FC-8116-AD2208FC8904}\1033.MST

And the installed ran ok, not sure how that happened as this is a server we have just taken over maintenance of.
