Backup Exec 2012 - Duplicate a disk backup to tape gets error v-79-57344-33329

I am receiving the error described in the following technote but on BE2012:

http://www.symantec.com/business/support/index?page=content&id=TECH51468&actp=search&viewlocale=en_US&searchid=1355205418499

However, the products it applies to does not mention BE 2012. Can someone please update the technote to say it applies to BE2012. I don't think I am the only one experiencing this because a user who had migrated from BE 2010 to BE 2012 has posted the same issue here: http://www.symantec.com/connect/forums/impressions-backupexec-2012?page=1 (search for TECH51468 on the page to find the post).

Hi Julian,

Check the Known Issues section and see if this is listed there for BE 2012. If it is, vote it up.

Might also be worth your while to try this fix, BUT grab copies of the Data/Catalogs folders before doing anything listed.

The fix might still be relevant.

Thanks!

Thanks for the reply. I did the "fix" before posting this message but will keep the logs for a while just in case. This is the second time I have had to run this work around since installing BE2012. Running it once obviously doesn't fix it, all it does is correct the current SQL errors in the BE database but doesnt stop new once from happening.

When I ran the fix, it found 834 errors to clear. I cant remember how many it fixed last time as it was a few months ago.

As far as checking on the known issues for BE, the list is bigger than Ben Hur, there seem to be thousands of posts, I just dont have time to go through it but any search term I tried came up with nothing. Searching symantec website though comes up with a lot of old posts so it is not a new error. For example, see: https://www-secure.symantec.com/connect/forums/symantec-backup-execmaybe-it-bug from 2009
