Backup Exec 2012 with older version agents

Hi,

 I getting a new server with backup exec 2012 with 2 agents (open file agents and sql agent).

Am I allow to use existing agents (version 10d) on another server to do backup.

Meaning 2 servers, Backup exec 2012 on new server backing this server plus another server which is running version 10d agents.

BE10d agent cannot communicate with BE2012.

Its always recommended to use media server and remote agent of the same version.

Not working, BE will communicate 1 agent back (BE2012 can communicate with BE2010 agen) but this is only for migration purpose. It is always recommended to use same media server and agent version !
