Backup Exec 2012

Hey friednds
 
I'm using symantec backup exec 2012. and after so many tries my backup exec is not working in 2008 r2 standard 64 bit environment
 
I have 3TB segate External HDD and i want take the whole server & user backup in that....

I have tried many times but it's no working...this is the error..

Check that your particular HDD is supported.  See the HCL below

BE 2012 HCL

If it is not supported, test its functionality with 

B2Dtest.exe

I think my HDD is not supportbale....there's any alternate option for backup....becz i have 2 segate hdd.

And as per ur BE 2012 HCL there's no overview for segate HDD.

Then test its functionality with

B2Dtest.exe

Just for reference your original error message of 80004005 also means access denied.

 

Access denied isn't always a security issue, sometimes it is you are asking for a function that is not supported by the device which then returns a generic "You cannot do that" message

 

Is the disk in question formatted as NTFS?
