Backup Exec 9.1 & Windows 2003 Server firewall settings

Hi,
I have just turned on my 2k3 server firewall on the main server and the other agent servers and nothing works.

Can anyone give me a complete list of ports and/or programs that I need to put in the exceptions list for backups to continue to work for me.

I have looked in the firewall log and seen many port access attemps being blocked on both the agents and the main server but it appears that these are fairly dynamic so just allowing those ports doesnt work becuase each time they try to backup and communicate they use a different port.

Thanks,

Dale

You can specify which ports BE uses. Go to Tools | Options | Network in BE. (I also think that you can specify the ports in the job)

Also, don't forget about the latest patch for the remote agent: http://support.veritas.com/docs/278434
