I had to change the server to a new IP address (completely different scheme). It is still on the same domain though.
A few of the services are not starting:
- Job Engine
- Remote Agent
- Exec Server
When I try and log into the media server it says the exec server service is not running.
I run BEUTILITY.EXE and there are no media servers in the list. I try and add one (the machine it's installed on) and it does not start the services.
I cannot uninstall Backup Exec as it says the SQL server is not running or access denied (I have tried logging in as Domain Admin or sa).
Event log gives the following error as to why the Exec Server service cannot start:
The database specified does not exist.
I look in the SQL manager and the database (BEDB) does exist.
I get the following error in the event log:
Adamm database error. Driver connect failure!
ERROR = ERROR_DATABASE_DOES_NOT_EXIST
SERVER = HORIZON (name of the server)
Active Node = ""
Instance = ""
Database = "BEDB"
But again, the database DOES exist.
