We are running Backup Exec 11d Build 6235 with remote. Incremental backups during the day to network drive storage devices work fine. However, about once a week (no rhyme or reason that I can tell), the nightly complete backup to tape crashes the server completely, and thus causing the job to fail.
The job log gives the "Unexpected end of input" error with reference to the xml log file, but that seems to be merely a symptom, not the problem. The crash occurs at random times during the backup (at least according to the last file logged as backed up). We recently replaced a VXA tape drive with a larger Quantum Ultrium drive, but are still having the problem.
Anyone know what might be happening?
