Backup Exec Exchange Restore Staging issue

I'm trying to restore a single mailbox, and have 450Gb of Mailstore. It repeatedly fails after 18hours (it has all 5 mailstores off, but fails to connect to a resource)  all the files are off of the tape to the staging area. I then need to pull all the data off again. Is there any way to pull this off the tape and leave in the staging area, so that I can have another go at the restore, without having to wait 18 hours to pull it from tape again

Duplicate the backup set from the tape back to disk.

Then start to do your individual selections from the disk backup.
