Backup Exec Media Types 'missing'

I'm running Backup Exec v9.1 on a W2K Professional server equipped with a Certance CL400H Ultrium LTO-2 tape drive. The drive is recognized by the Veritas software and backups are for the most part running smoothly. However, when I right-click on the Certance device in Backup Exec, choose 'Properties' and then the 'Media Types' tab, the only thing that shows up is Media Type ***, with Read & Write values of 'No'. Is this usual? I would have thought 'LTO' would have been associated with this tape drive, as it's supported by Veritas.

Thanks.

FYI...

Yes, the device is listed and supported in BE9.1, and, yes, the most recent Veritas drivers are being used to support the Certance tape drive. As far as I know, the Certance CL400H tape drive does NOT support bar codes, and they are not enabled.

Hello,

Have you tried using OEM drivers? i.e., drivers of the device's manufacturer.

Please try installing the same and let us know of the results.

I've also tried installing the most recent Certance drivers but the media type is still 'misbehaving.'

Thx...
