I am using BE 2010 R2 ( win 2008R2) at our remote site . What are the steps to be taken to recover the server in the event of a server crash where i lose the catalogs but have the daily BE DB backup on tape.
Steps i think should be done :
1) Install BE 2010 R2 on new server and start server
2) Inventory Tape media
3)Catalog Tape media
4) Restore BE Db backup from tape onto disk .
Now what needs to be done ? i am not sure .I thought about copying the database over the existing one using BEUtility .But not sure if this will work . As i tried it and failed for me ...
