Backup Exec UNIX Agent 5.0

We are currently running BE 9.1 on Windows and backing up a HP-UX 9000 server running version B.11.00.

There is a known issue with Backup Exec UNIX Agent 5.0 revision 5.046 running on version 10 and earlier where restore speed was slower than backup speed.

As the RALUS agent with version 10 is not supported on this OS I was wondering if this problem has been fixed in any way in Backup Exec 11??

This problem means we will have to move away from Backup Exec.

Did you even bother to check the SCL? Its right on the frontpage for 11d?

Well i have searched through the document and 11.00 is not even supported... great!

Sorry the platform you need isn't supported. The legacy agent is still available in 11d for exactly this reason, but as you mentioned the performance has lots of room for improvement. Meanwhile, RALUS does support 11i and 11iv2 at speeds that should make you much happier. The Backup Exec 11d RALUS has a greatly expanded platform support list from 10 and we are certainly open to adding platform support to RALUS if there is demand.
