Hi there,

Any help on this issue would be greatly helpful.

Here are the errors i get when running my SQL backups.

An inconsistency was encountered on the storage media in NewSQLDiffSun.

V-79-57344-33994 - The data being read from the media is inconsistent.

It is just the SQL backups that fail. I am using the very latest updates and hotfixes for backup exec.

Is there a solution to this problem?

thanks for your replys unfortunatly these have no solved the issue, by the way i am not using tapes it is been backed up to a SAN (storage access network)

Do you get this error only when backing up SQL DB's or any thing from the SQL server?

Make sure Be remote agent is updated.

Check the HCL for your version of BE to make sure that your SAN is supported for B2D folder.
