Backup errors on BE catalog folders

This server I am having backup issues with is the backup server itself backing itself up.

I just took over this account and from looking at the logs it appears it gets a successful backup with execptions about 50% of the time.   And the exception file it misses is just a file for a program we use to remote into the server so not worried about that.

But the other 50% of the time I get a directory of file was not found error.  And this is where it is weird to me as the list of files and folders are all backup exec. catalog files and folders.   I get a pretty long list in the error window and a pretty long list in a exceptions folder also backup exec. catalog files and folders?

This is a BE 2012 server with SP2.

I run a backup without the catalogs in the list and it is successful all it does is give you the execption warning that selections changed since last backup.

So looks to run good with the catalogs not slected.

Yes and is set for Auto select.

Should I try to change it to Microsoft and system like I have on a few others ?

Micrsoft volume shadow copy is the only provider when i type vssadmin list providers at the dos prompt.
