Backup exec 11d on W2k3 server

I have Exchange 2003 running on my server (Windows 2003 server) as well as the trial version of Backup Exec 11d for Windows.
I cannot backup the second mail store, it tells me access is denied even though I am logged on as administrator.
also when I try to backup the system state the backup freezes.
And when I try to backup using Shadow Copy the backup freezes.

why is it that I have to stop all the services and restart services when I want to cancel an active job?

Have you tried installing the latest hotfixes?

They corrected my lock-up problems. Don't forget to uninstall the remote agents and push out new ones after you install the updates.
