Backup exec 2010 r2 remote agent installation failed

Hi Can anybody guide me with the remote agent installation which i got failed with the "

unexpected error:signature is not IMAGE_CEE_CS_CALLCONV_LOCAL_SIG.

operating system is windows 2003 x64 and its sharepoint web server 2007

What version of BE are you using?  Are you pushing out the remote agent or are you doing a manual install?  If it is one or the other, have you tried the other installation method?

It is Backup exec 2010 r2 and i hv tried to push and manually install.

What other option i can try.

Uninstall .Net 3.5 and reinstall .Net 3.5 on the problem server.  See this document.

After this, re-install the remote agent.

Are you sure that the problem is related with the .net framework and and it will get resolved by reinstalling.

If u have any tech note for the related problem please share.

Dear chetan_k32,

In the past I as well had to uninstall .Net 3.5 and install .Net 3.5. So I don't know if this provides a solution to you but it can harm to try.
Just use know if the problem has been solved or not.

Did a little digging on google and found others with this problem. After reviewing a few of the pages, I found a page where a customer of a unrelated product had the same problem, and after uninstalling/reinstalling .NET, his problem was resolved. Give it a shot and let us know your results.
