Tape . I had a problem in the tape (End marker unreadable ) , I erased (quick erase )
Then its working . But why it did nt give me an indication of the problem

Some alert may be there, indicating the problem. just check

There is an option to prevent alerts from popping up. When such situations occur you might want to doubleclick on the alert icon right at the bottom of the console. It is 2 icons left from the server name.
This should show the current alert.

I've just had exactly the same issue on an HP StorageWorks 1x8 G2 autoloader. Jobs kept on failing randomly. Turns out the tape drive itself had hard-write errors, and it was corrupting the tapes it was writing too.
You can verify any hard/soft-write errors with your drive by going to the Devices tab, and clicking on the drive. Look in the pane below that...anything more than 2 hard-write errors indicates a hardware problem that you should raise with your vendor. It could be that the device is in pre-failure, explaining why there are no alerts to this...
