Backup job fails when 'Corrupt' .PST file is encountered

I have been archiving old emails to .PST files on a shared drive on my Windows NT 4.0 server. Randomly, my backup jobs will fail because a 'corrupt' .PST file is encountered. However, there is nothing that I can find wrong with the .PST file. Why is Backup Exec. failing on data that doesn't appear to be corrupt?

Thanks,

John

Please, see http://seer.support.veritas.com/docs/233646.htm
(What causes Backup Exec to report a file as a corrupt file? )

In a few words, backup exec wont backup open files if you have not ofo agent. It will retry, but, if the file are still opened job will fail, at least you made some registry change (article will teach you that).
