Backup jobs are not starting


 I am facing an issue the backup jobs are not starting and it shows "Ready;No idle devices are available"

I know its related with media but I want to know what is the exac issue behind all this?

Hi, Open the Device tab



Open the Device tab within BE itself and see if the library is offline. If so, place it online and restart the services.

Also make sure that there are no jobs queued in Job Monitor. If there are, consider cancelling them and then trying again.

Lastly, make sure that the backup device is still present in Windows Device Manager...BE sees what Windows sees.

If it is a disc storage, try increasing the number of concurrent write sessions accordingly from the DETAILS page.
