Backup to Firewire external hard drive?

Hi,

Will BEWS11D backup to an external firewire drive?

The only supported Firewire disk i could find was REV 35GB Iomega Firewire

I'm backing up to a Lacie BigDisk and a Maxtor One-Touch II both using firewire with no problems.

Hmmm. When I try to back up to the Maxtor, 11d tells me that the remote agent service isn't started. Since I'm backing up the meida server itself and therefore am not using the remote agent on the server, I thought the problem might be because of the firewire.

I've set them both up as non-removable B2D devices in BE if that helps.

That worked. Thank you very much. I was setting them as "removable" (because they are), but I guess "removable" in BEWS means Zip-type drives.

Can I push my luck and ask you about "Desktop and Laptop Option?"
