Here are my specs:
HP ProLiant DL320 running Windows Storage Server 2003 (latest patches installed)
Exabyte VXA 1x10u Packetloader (library) with a VXA-320 drive
Here's my problem:
I have a backup job that backs up to disk (I'm backing up over 650Gb). When that job completes, it is supposed to duplicate the backup to tape. The duplicate to tape job runs, and hangs about 50% through the operation (usually around 300Gb). I've let it run for close to 90 hours, but it never get's gets anywhere. I'm using 160/320 Gb tapes (VXA X23 tapes).
Also, I don't know if it's related, but I get less than 1:1 compression even though hardware compression is turned on.
