We are trying to backup server with 4 Oracle database instances on it. Every instance has its own job defined in Backup Exec which is installed on another server. The problem is that backup sometimes finishes successfully and sometimes failes with this error:
Final error: 0xe000848c - Unable to attach to a resource. Make sure that all selected resources exist and are online, and then try again.
Final error category: Resource Errors
The problem is that jobs fail most of the time, and always with that error.
And one instance (always the same instance) of Oracle database always hangs backup job so we have to cancel it manualy which causes to hang on cancel pending status and we have to manualy kill beengine service and restart all services. This job show size of the job which is about 700MB but never finishes, even after 6 hours.
Backup Exec 11d build 6235 with SP3 is used. Oracle jobs are configured for offline backup of Oracle databases (databases are in NOARCHIVELOG mode) and AOFO is not used.
There is separate job defined which backups system state and files from Oracle server which always completes successfully so I would exclude network problems.
