Bandlaufwerk spult nur hin und her

Hallo,

Ich habe ein Problem mit der Wiederrherstellung einzelner Files einer virtuellen Maschine.

Ich habe eine virtuelle Maschine (ca. 2TB) direkt auf mehrere Bänder gesichert.

Möchte ich nun einzelne Files wiederherstellen beginnt das Laufwerk entweder ganz zum Schluss der Staffelung oder gleich am Anfang das Band nur noch hin und herzuspulen.

Bei der Sicherung sind keine Fehler am Band aufgetreten.

Irgenwelche Ideen dazu?

Is the VM more than 2TB in size...Was there any exception in the backup log ? This may be applicable then ~ http://www.symantec.com/business/support/index?page=content&id=TECH130332

Hi Thomas,

The restore job is going to have to find out where that data is located on the tape, and once it does, would stage the VM to disk first before restoring.

This is probably why your restores would take long!
