restore data on new server

hallo,

wir hatten bis vor kurzem einen sbs2011. jetzt haben wir einen windows server 2012r2 und exchange 2013.

nachdem ich backup exec neu installiert habe und ein band eigelegt habe wo die öffentlichen ordner sind wollte ich einen öffentlichen ordner in dem kontakte sind zurücksichern.

auf dem bandlaufwerk wird mir alles angezeigt aber ich kann nicht zurücksichern weil der alte server ja nun mal nicht mehr existiert.

gibt es eine möglichkeit die daten von dem band auf eine festplatte oder sonst irgendwie zurück zu sichern ohne den alten server?

Hi,

Backup Exec can duplicate the Information Store to disk. Check this option in the job setup and run it after selecting the Information Store.

It is going to duplicate the Information Store and all flat files to disk, leaving you with the *.edb etc.

You can use whatever you want to pull the Public Folders out and into the new Exchange server.

do i have to add new server -> exchange server to restore directly to a new exchange server?

the back up was made from exchange 2010 but we have now exchange 2013

will it work if i add new 2013 exchange server to backup exec and restore directly into it?

No. This is not possible. It is a Microsoft limitation, not BE
