Best way to configure Backup

We have a customer that has a 2003sbs and backups up to a usb connected hard drive that is permantently attached. This is all working fine, with 5 full backup jobs fro each day backing up to 5 seperate folders on the drive.

They have purchased a NAS drive that is attached to the network at a remote location via a VPN.

They wish to have "copies" of the backup going on to this drive as well, for insurance purposes.
What is the best way of doing this? I initially created 5 seperate jobs going to this remote drive, but 60GB going across an adsl line is about 20 hrs worth, as it backs up at average of 2MB/min.

Is there a better way of organising this?

Many thanks in advance.

You can use Differential/Incremental backups instead. This way you'll have 1 big job going across once per week, followed by changes to your data on the other days.

There is also third party software (not sure if symantec has a product) that will sync up to nas devices over a wan link.  This would give you the best transfer window.  Using the software you would just make one initial sync locally and then sync across the wan (or you could do the initial sync one time over the wan).  From then on the sync software just mirrors what you have locally.  Some software is file based sync and some are block based.

Just giving you the option in case you didn't already know.
