Blue Screen Due To pdfsd.sys Driver

cpruitt

My SAN has blue screened twice in less than a month due to the pdfsd.sys driver.  This driver evidently has to do with the Pure Disk File System and Deduplication.  We are using Backup Exec Version 13 on Windows Server 2008 R2 Standard.  Please let me know if anyone else has experienced this and if there is a known fix.  Can provide dmp file if needed.

Thanks,

cpruitt

Don't think there is any Known issue on this. Just wanted to confirm if BE is updated with SP1 and all the latest hot fixes. Also when does the blue screen occurs. Is it during the backups or any other time.

And what is the exact version of Backup Exec. Latest version of BE 2010 R3 with SP1 and number of HFs

Thanks,

Sush,

We are using 2010 R3 with SP1 installed and these Hotfixes:

167567, 164659, 170962

Version 13.0 Rev. 5204

The blue screen happens right at the start of our nightly backup job. Thanks in advance for your help.

Thanks,

cpruitt

#1 you should open a support ticket ASAP, severity 1 (critical)

#2, I would possibly change your HBA driver to a new one, or revert to an older one.

#3, revert to #1 and keep on them for a fix.
