CPS SnapShots Deleted

I have noticed that my CPS only keeps one copy of the snapshot. As soon as another is being made the one before is deleted. I have the snapshot set to the defaults to keep old copies up to 12 months. I was curious if I have to enable windows shadow copy on the drive for this to happen.

I have an event ID of 1114.
Error: Volume C:\ continuous backup destination backup destination 1 has been deleted by an external source.

I know I have plenty of harddrive space. I built this server with 350gig of space and only show about 90 gig used.Message was edited by:

Thank You. That answered the question. I implemented shadow copies on the drive and now I see the indexed snapshots working fine.
