This is an odd request from a client and I don't know if this is possible so I'm tossing it out here. Can data protected with BE 2012 be restored utilizing a BE 11D server in a different environment?

Hi,
They're written with the same format, so there should be no problems with this.
However, if BE 2012 backed up something like Exchange 2010, then this won't be possible as BE 11d doesn't support that at all.
Normal data shouldn't be an issue along with applications listed on the BE 11d SCL.
Thanks!

It is never recommended that you try to restore something from a newer version of BE. There could be changes in the international information that is written to the backup set that the older version does not understand.
