Until now I have only backed up to tape and I am very interested in making the change to continuous protection server 12.0 so I have a contstant copy of our data. I have a couple of questions though that I hope someone can answer. Thank you in advance for any help.
1. Can I setup more then 1 protection server? I would like to have a server in house as a protection server with a tape drive. Then another protection server offsite thats connected through a VPN. Then configure it to backup all critical files to server #1 then server #2 (offsite). Server #1 would backup its data to tape once a day as well. Is this realistic?
2. How much space will I need on these protection servers? Our current backup is taking 412gb. I believe with CPS multiple copies of a file are kept. Does this mean that I need 824gb? Or 1236gb?
