Hello,
I have a problem with backup of Enterprise Vault. I'm using "Agent for Entreprise Vault" with "Backup Exec 2010 R3 SP2" and since few days, I cannot browse my Enterprise Vault server to choose how I want to backup. My server seems to be not recognized. I have maked a new install of Agent on Enterprise Vault server but no result. I have cleaned my database with no result.
I can't backup, I have an error "0xe000846b".

Remove and push the BE remote agent to the EV server.

A couple of other users have reported the same problem which is solved by disabling the R3 security.
Note that when you disable the R3 security, you are vulnerable to the man-in-the-middle attack.

The issue with security in R3 was resolved with hotfix http://www.symantec.com/docs/TECH180429. Just be sure this HF is in place and the problems with EV resources showing up should be resolved.

This hotfix solved a similar EV browse and backup issue in one of our installations.
In our case EV backups just stopped - no credential changes, no updates, no nothing. After two days of trying, I came across this post and applied the hotfix - the backups and and EV browse function is back to normal.
