We're having unusual problems. And they are getting VERY fustrating..
Little bit of insight, we have 1 Central admin server, and 8 MMS located across the city in different buildings.. and they are all running Backup 11d rev 7170
This all started back when Backup exec broke with the DST problem where managed media servers were getting communication stalled/No Communication. After the patches were release, we applied them, and that error went away..
Well since that day, we can see all our MMS on our CAS under the media Server tab.. but cannot do anything.
- I can see tapes that are in the slots
- I can see all MMS under the media server tab
- Under BEUTILITY, it lists all the servers
But
If i create a job and point it to a specific MMS, and the job runs, it goes into communication stalled (and turns red)
If i inventory, it does the same thing.
a couple of servers are now showing the completed jobs in the job list on the CAS, but the others don't.. but even these servers, i can't do a inventory, or anything else.
Anyone have any clues to what could be happening here.. Everything was working great until that DST problem..
