Cleaning Tape vaulting status Not eligible

Hi,

i have BE2012 SP3. Cleaning tape has vaulting status Not eligible. Some other tapes had the same status, but disapired after quick erase. Cleaning jobs are running normal. Does this status affects cleaning functionality and is there a way to remove it?

A vault is a logical representation for a location where you store backup media when you have removed it from your library and is usually but not always used to represent an offsite location to help you manage your media between what is onsite and what is offsite.

A cleaning tape is not a backup tape and almost certainly will not be part of offsite movement hence it cannot  be vaulted.
