Cleaning the tape drive

Hi,

Our tape drive is Dell PowerVault 110T DLT1. I clean the drive only once whenever I get an alert, informing that it's time for cleaning. Should I be cleaning it more than that? I read somewhere that overcleaning could damage the drive.

Hi,

It is recommended that you clean the device atleast once in a week. You can clean the device 3-4 times in a go.
