Hi
We hace recently upgraded our tape drive as the previous system 20/40 Gb DDS 4 was not backing up onto 1 tape overnight even though the compression was on. We are now using an AIT tape drive 40Gb native 104Gb compressed. I know that the compressed size is dependent on by how much the files will compress. We have quite a few Jpeg files which are already compressed and I would therefore not expect to achieve the full 104Gb. As I was to forward plan and wish to be aware if the tape is getting full so that I can consider other backup solutions, I would like to see the compressed file size so that I know what proportion of the 40Gb is used. The bits backed up stated in 8.6 is, I know the uncompressed size. How do I see the compressed size?
Many Thanks
