Could not read backup from anther server in BE 12.5

Hi ,

I just tried to backup some share folders in Windows 2003 using BE12.5 to a LTO4 tape.
When I tried to restore that backup form the LTO4 tape to another Windows 2003 in another domain or even in the same domain using BE12.5, I found it could not read the backup (could detect the tape but found no backup to restore).
When I brought back the tape to the original server and could read and restore the backup from the tape. the hardward config of the servers and autoloaders are the same.

Could anyone tell me anything wrong? the tape is new.
I am wondering if any setting got wrong.

Without wishing to sound patronising, have you catalogged the tape in the "other" server?

If we were talking DLT drives and you used Hardware Compression, I'd say that the compression was not compatible between the tape drives.  But with LTO, that should not be a problem

If you create a tape on one of the other drives, can you read it on the one that created this tape?

The problem was solved after cataloging the media before backup and before restore.
