DFS Backup

Hello

I need a bit of help

I'm using Symantec Backup Exec 2015, and backing up my file server 2008 R2

I’m backing up a server that has DFS enabled and when I go to backup the folders I can see them all in the directory list

But when I try to restore there are no folders to select from all I see is DfsPrivate

I have tried backing up both the primary DFS server and the one its replicating to but get the same result

To backup DFS data you need to select the folders from the Shadow Copy Components of the Server.

Yes that makes total sense, i have started another backup including the shadow copies.

Just have to wait 24hrs now to test the restore.

I will, although it may be the day after depending on how long it takes to backup 2tb of data

Sorry I fogot about this post as it did take 48hrs to backup, all is fine I did a restore from shadow copies and the directory is correct.
