Zustand Server 2008 (Physisch)

SQL Express Instanz 2008 DB fast 4 GB gross

Backup Exec 2012 Rx

Oben nenne ich mal Server A

Soll umgelegt werden in einen MS SQL 2008 Cluster. (2xVirtuell Server)

Server B

Problem ist beim ändern des Datenbank Destination Path mit dem Tool (BEUtility), werden die Dienste auf Server A sauber beendet und an dem Punkt wo er laut des logischem Denkens er / es die Datenbank sichern / bzw über das Netzwerk in der neuen Instanz aufbauen sollte, kommt dann die Meldung das, dass Tool die Trennung mit der Datenbank auf Server B nicht durchführen konnte und bricht ab. Wo nichts ist kann auch nichts getrennt werden das ich schon klar aber warum denkt das Programm das der neue Server die Datenbank schon angelegt hat. Verzwickte Kiste. Kann es sein das ein Physisch - Virtueller Umzug / Migration der Express DB in eine Produktive MSSQL DB nicht geht? Oder muss die neue DB auf der selben Physischen Kiste liegen? Solangsam gehen mir die Ideen aus.

Is the version of SQL you are moving the BEDB too supported as a database location for BE 2012? Check below for more information:

If the SQL server is a VM it doesn't matter. If the SQL server is another server, it also doesn't matter...just that the version of SQL is supported.

What is the reason for moveing the BEDB to another server?  It is recommended to keep it on the same server with the original Backup Exec installation or if on a different server it needs to be kept in a sperate instance.

its also an SQL Server 2008 R2 (SP idk) hmmmm but its an really good point to check ..

and the reason is the size, sql express 2008 could almost manage a size of 4 gb DB but sql express 2008 r2 instanz can manage a size of 10 GB DB we got more than 300 Jobs into our queue :) its a lot of ..^^ and it grows and grows. so we need a non limited size DB like 2008 R2 SP2 or above

but so tomorrow ill check the sp and etc. maybe it could be the solution of this problem ^^
