Duplicate to tape question

When setting up a duplication job from a VTL to tape using the built in template in BE 12.5, I'm confused on how it's supposed to work.  Say we do a full backup every Sunday and want to dump these to tape...but we keep 4 weeks of backups on the VTL.  If I set up a duplication job for this recurring weekly backup, will the duplication job dump all the weekly backup sets it finds or just the one that ran immediately before the duplication job kicked off?   I couldn't find any settings to specify this.

As far as I'm aware, the duplicate job only duplicates the backup sets that have just been completed, so only your single weekly full backup would be duplicated, rather than all the weekly backup sets.

Only the last execution of the source job is duplicated to the target

Hi,

There are two options during the duplicate job:
1. Duplicate backup sets -- It duplicates all the data in the media selected
2. Duplicate following a job -- It duplicates all the data from the last job.

So, if you use the same media each week with "append" enabled, the duplication copy all data, 2-3 weeks depending on the size. If, on the other hand, you select to duplicate the job "weekly_backup", it will copy only the data backed up from the last job.
