E-Mail notification does not work

I'm using BE 9.1 on a Windows 2000 server. I set up the notification alerts to e-mail me on the job status (Failed or completed successfully) so I can remotely monitor the backups. I have the SAME setup on 3 other Domain controllers running BE 9.1. They send me notifications as expected but this one server does not. The test worked fine but no e-mails. I have checked the sender address to make sure it's valid (and it is) and as I stated the test worked. I just don't get a notification from the BE server. What can I check / do to fix this?

might be the attachment size (thats why the test without attachment worked):

Definitely not the attachment size as the server (SMTP server) is configured to allow up to 30MB (and they're not THAT big...) for this backup admin account, however I'll check out the DLL issue you gave me the link to. Thanks for that tip.
