Does the user you are running the Installer prog as have rights to that directory? Can you stick that path in a Windows Explorer and get it to list the directory contents?

What installation files? The hotfix file is on the local disk. The MS installer files were on a different server (bak-cjj-server) that is no longer available.

Hi,

Please try to install the hotfix from the command prompt with the help of the following document:

"How to install a Backup Exec Hotfix or Service Pack without user intervention. (Silent Installation)"

http://support.veritas.com/docs/274398
Hope it helps.

Hello,

I would like to know if you received the same error while performing silent installation of Hotfix 8 ?

If not, then please refer to the download link and check the file versions of the dlls mentiond in the table. This will confirm if the hotfix has been succesfully applied or not.

I attempted to do a silent installation per support doc 274398. When it didn't appear that anything happened I reran the install without the /qn so I could see what was happening. The install failed with the message "Install Wizard ERROR! The wizard was interrupted before VERITAS Backup Exec for Windows Servers could be completely installed..."

I received this error after downloading a hotfix file to disk and then executing it. I got around it by telling it to run the file directly from Veritas Update ("run" instead of "save").

Thanks. I tried installing the hotfix like you said but received the same error. This is getting ridiculous.
