Error backup remote server

Running 8.6, Win2000 servers (2)
When attempting to backup 2nd server (have remote license) I get an error
Unable to attach to \\server2\C$.
The item was not found.

Any thoughts or help would be appreciated!

If you logon to the Media server as the BackupExec Service Account, can you browse to the C$ share on the remote server?

From the BackupSelection pane, you can right click the server and select "attach as" and give it the credentials of a user with rights to the share
