Exchange B2D and then Duplicate to Tape

I am new using B2D and 2T feature but this is what I have: I have a Daily Full Backup of an Exchange Server using the Exchanger Agent. data is beeing sent to B2D fodlers ( MONDAY, TUESDAY - FRIDAY). My goal is that on Monday morning I would like to duplicate the content of Friday Backup into a Tape for offsite storage.
So I created a duplicated job and I noticed that it actually backups the exchange server again - my understanding was that this strategy will not actually backup the server just use the B2D folder to duplicate the data on tape. I checked Exchange logs and it does show that a backup was perform.
Am I doing something wrong?
Thank you.

Duplicate just works on a Job by Job basis

If you use the supplied template, as soon as the B2D finishes, that job will immediately Duplicate to tape (or to a different B2D Device if you wish)

This is a totally unexpected behaviour and cannot happen, if duplicate backup is configured properly.
You can refer following documents which explain this method of duplicating data:
http://support.veritas.com/docs/256096
http://support.veritas.com/docs/255866
You can also use policies to create duplicate job, as mentioned in following document:
http://support.veritas.com/docs/299212

Please mark it a solution, if this is useful.

That is exactly what I thought too. I will double - check the settings and try again but this is what I have:
- A B2D folder called Exchange Friday has 2 IMG media / catalogs in it - I would like to duplicate this into the tape but then again, not run a Exchange backup
- So when I select the job, i select to duplicate backup set, select the tape drive and hit run
Then the server gets backup

i think I may have been wrong - the Exchange server did not backup; it was just some logs releted to a TCP / IP streaming backup and I though that it is indeed backing up the resource.
