OK, I've got a win 2k3 server with BE12 and the exchange options.
It has the same name, IP, and domain membership as the original exchange I'm trying to restore from.
I've installed exchange 2003 sp2 in disaster recovery mode, which went fine.
The account I'm using is the same account the backup was made with.
This Disaster recovery exchange has its own DC, seperated from the rest of the domain.
I can restore data from the backup, but if I try and restore the first storage group it fails with:
"Unable to attach to a resource. Make sure that all selected resources exist and are online, and then try again"
I'm not trying to restore to a different location, as the drive letters, name etc are identical to the original exchange.
I assume the resource that is unavailable is the information store or one of its dependents.
Any ideas as to where I'm going wrong?
