Exec 2010 Can't Find Robotic Library

Tom_2010

I get this error in my Event Viewer:

ADAMM configuration warning.
The device driver may not be installed for device:
Identifier : QUALSTARTLS-412180    2.27.
Type: MediumChangerPeripheral.

What do I need to do to correct this? Thanks

Hi Tom

Check in the Windows device manager if you are able to see the medium changer.

Its recommended to configure the medium changer to use Microsoft drivers.

Make sure the tape device is using Symantec drivers. For more info on device and media refer to the below link.

Device Manger sees the medium changer and the tape devices. The tape devices are using Symantec drivers but the robotic library is using a Qualstar driver.

Right click on the medium changer and then update drivers, from the list select "Unknown Medium Changer"

I switched drivers as you stated and now its showing my tape drives as being offline.

Restart all the BE services.

I did and at the tape drives are displaying offline status. I also rebooted the server and the robotic library and nothing still.

Hi,

So you have the Library Expansion Option (LEO) license installed to be able to see more than 1 tape drive?
Is Removable Storage service stopped and disabled? Finally, have you looked at making sure your library is on the HCL and the drivers are current?

Laters!

Any news here?
