Exec 9.1 - MS 2003 small biz serv... Backup getting slow after bout 2days

As the topic says..

Running Microsoft Server 2003 Small Bussines Edition and Backup Exec 9.1.

When configuring the backup and adding the mediapool it all works fine.
Even the first backup seems to run smoothly and are usually finished after 5hours.

After 1-3 days the backup suddenly starts going very slow and might keep on going for additional 75 hours..

I´ve downlaodded the Service pack located at Veritas Webpage but no changes.

We are expecting the MS 2003 SBE Service Pack to arrive, but thats still in the future..

So atm we are not able to get the backup to run smoothly at all exept for a day or two in a row and then it all goes slow again and we're not able to make a proper backup..

If anyone has a Fix/patch or knows how to solve this problem it would be apriciated with an answear to this ASAP as the Client is pretty much in desperate needs to get this running again..

Thanx in advance.

Hello,

1) Stop all third-party services including antivirus before starting the Backup.

2) Install the latest Veritas device drivers:

VERITAS Backup Exec (tm) 9.1 - Device Driver Installer (20050115) - Includes Tape Driver Release (20041231) and Robotic Library Release (45) (Intel Only) http://seer.support.veritas.com/docs/273853.htm

All suggested solutions will be implemented during the day..
It will though take more than 2 days as your signature says to know if the problem is solved or not as we seem to be able to run it a couple of days before it slows down..

So apriciate if the thread doesnt get locked at once.
