on a side note ....

articles such as Document ID: 266179 at http://seer.support.veritas.com/docs/266179.htm

are not the answer. I am quite aware of the process to remove deleted/moved folders from a backup job. but taht is not the answer here. As those folders in question do not show up in the selection list.

they do not even show up in a dir /x /a from a cmd line.

spooky.

Hi,

Are you backing up any databases like exchange or sql in the same job? Is it a local backup or remote?

Run database repair in backup exec:
http://support.veritas.com/docs/265180

If SP4a is not instelled on your system, please install it using the following link;
http://seer.support.veritas.com/docs/280008.htm
