How do i set up a job to perform a disk to disk to tape using daily, weekly and monthly tapes, e,g, Mon-Fri, Weekly1 - Weekly4 and Monthly Jan-Dec. I can get as far as the daily incremental with a weekly full but how do I create the monthly? This was possible in the previous version with policies.
Ensure that both Weekly and Monthly FULL backups are scheduled to start the same time. So that, on last saturday of the month Monthly FULL superseds Weekly FULL.
As there is still a limitation of 300 minutes for the pre/post command runtime the tape drive for example is single streamed then no other job can write to the tape drive while the pre and post command runs. Due to this limitation we have resorted to powershell scripting to run the pre, then the backup job, then the post command, the jobs have therefore been created and placed on hold, also the duplicate section is configured to run after the full or differential job is completed, will this work in this case?
