HELP!!!!! - Unable to acquire device or media.

Hi,

I wonder if someone could help me with serious problems I'm having.

For about 2 weeks we've not had a successful backup. I keep getting the following error:

Unable to acquire device or media.

Final error: 0x800706bb - 0x800706bb (2147944123)

I can see no help for this error message anywhere.

I actually see the backup use about 3 DLT tapes then go onto verify after that I get the above error message.

We are running Veritas Backup Exec on a Windows Server 2003.

The actual backup itself is fine as I did a test restore.

Any help or guidance would be greatly appreciated!!!

We would need more Information.
- What was changed on teh system / device when the problem started
- What do you mean by "The actual backup itself is fine as I did a test restore."?
