My setup is as follows..
We do all our backups to Backup-To-Disk folders on external hard drives.
For our daily backups, overnight we backup to an external hard drive that never gets disconnected and then duplicate that nights backup to 1 of 7 drives that we keep off site. I think there is some kind of problem with this because every day before I duplicate, I have to restart the services for backup exec, or the job will sit in queue forever and not spawn any error messages. I have found however if I try to inventory the backup-to-disk folder, it will give an error of "Inventory Library 00049 -- The job failed with the following error: Physical Volume Library Drive or Robot paused, offline, or disabled." Restarting the services has resolved the issue every time. I just hate having to do it-- its annoying.
Are there any solutions out there?
