Hello all...I'm just getting started in a new job where I am responsible for the network and everything associated with it. Not having used Backup Exec before, I'm finding it a bit overwhelming.
I wanted to know how others learned Backup Exec...whether through formal training (instructor lead, etc) or were self-taught. Any recommendations for material, etc sincerely appreciated.
I'm considering asking my manager for permission to attend an instructor-led course, but don't want to over-ask for formal training right off the bat as we've already discussed doing this for other products I need to get up to speed on.
Thanks in advance,
Mike...

Reading the Admin Guide and following this forum should be sufficient. However, if you don't have the time, then some classroom time would help.

I did the training and the certification, but by then I'd already been rolling out BE 11d. Served me well as a grounding in the application, but reading, the forums and the Admin Guide helped.
